Pricing Guide · Sunshine Coast
Four screen options, four different price points, and what actually drives the difference between them — in plain English, with no dollar guessing games.
The Short Version
There’s no single “Sunshine Coast price” for security screens, because every screen is custom-made to your doors and windows — not sold off a set menu. What you’ll actually pay comes down to which product tier you choose (barrier vs security-rated), the mesh within that tier, and how many openings you’re screening.
Roughly speaking: Diamond Grille is the most affordable option but isn’t a security screen at all. Within our AS 5039-tested range, Xceed is the entry point, SecureView Eclipx is the mid-tier all-rounder most Sunshine Coast homes choose, and SaltWaterSeries sits at the top for homes right on the coast. The only way to get an exact figure is a free on-site measure — we quote a fixed price, not an estimate.
01 / The Line-Up
One of these four is not a security screen — and that matters more to your budget than any spec sheet. Here’s how they actually compare.
| Feature | Diamond Grille | Xceed → | SecureView Eclipx → | SaltWaterSeries → |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price tier | Most affordable overall | Entry point of the security range | Mid-tier, most popular | Premium — coastal spec |
| What it is | 7mm aluminium diamond grille + fibreglass insect mesh | Perforated structural-grade aluminium mesh | 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh | 316 stainless + heavy-duty coastal powder coat |
| AS 5039 security tested | No — barrier screen only | Yes (with 3-point lock) | Yes (with 3-point lock) | Yes (with 3-point lock) |
| Salt-spray tested | Not tested | Not tested | 1,000 hours | 3,000 hours |
| Warranty (std / extended) | 7 yr | 5 yr / 7 yr | 11 yr / 15 yr | 1 yr / up to 20 yr |
| Best for | Deterrent + insects on a budget, low-risk openings | Real AS 5039 security on a tighter budget | Most Sunshine Coast homes — the all-rounder | Beachfront & escarpment homes exposed to salt air |

02 / Straight Talk on Cost
Every screen is measured and made to order, so the quote reflects your home, not a price list. The main factors:
Because we measure on site, the quote you get is an exact price for your home — not an estimate that changes later.
03 / The Honest Bit
Diamond Grille is a genuine, popular product — the classic Aussie grille look, at the lowest price point in our range. But it is a barrier screen, not a security screen: it isn’t tested to AS 5039 and doesn’t carry security-screen warranties. If a quote or a comparison lumps it in alongside Xceed, SecureView Eclipx or SaltWaterSeries as if they’re interchangeable on price and protection, that’s not the full picture.
CommandeX’s own product literature calls perforated aluminium security screens (Xceed) “a modern and more secure replacement for dated Diamond Grilles” — and that step up to genuine AS 5039 protection costs less than most people assume. For front doors, back doors and ground-floor windows, we’ll always tell you honestly if a barrier screen isn’t the right call, even if it’s the cheaper line item.
04 / How It Works Here
We come to you — no showroom, no sales rep. Every door and window is measured on site, with mesh samples in hand, and you get a fixed price before you commit to anything.
CommandeX custom-makes each screen in Australia to your exact measurements — nothing off a shelf.
The people who measured your home are the same people who install it — typically 3–4 weeks from deposit to install, among the fastest turnarounds in the industry.
Straight Answers
It depends on which product tier you choose (barrier vs AS 5039 security), the mesh within that tier, and how many doors and windows you’re screening. Because every screen is custom-made, we give you an exact fixed price at a free in-home measure & quote — there’s no set price list to quote from.
Yes — it’s the most affordable option in our range. But it’s a barrier screen, not a security screen: it isn’t tested to AS 5039 and doesn’t carry security-screen warranties. It’s a sound choice for low-risk openings like upper-floor windows or balconies, but we wouldn’t recommend it alone for a main entry door.
Within roughly 500m of the coastline, or up to 2km on an exposed escarpment, we usually recommend SaltWaterSeries — it’s the same 316 marine-grade stainless mesh as SecureView Eclipx, with an added heavy-duty coastal powder coat and a longer warranty. Further inland, SecureView Eclipx is the all-rounder most homes choose.
Xceed — it’s the entry point into our AS 5039-tested range, using perforated structural-grade aluminium mesh. It costs less than SecureView Eclipx or SaltWaterSeries while still passing the same knife shear, pull, anti-jemmy and impact testing that defines a genuine security screen.
No — and we’d rather be upfront about that than give you a number that changes once we’re on site. Every screen is measured and made to your exact doors and windows, so the only accurate quote comes from a free in-home measure, which we do across the Sunshine Coast at no cost and no obligation.
