Sunshine Coast · Moreton Bay · North Brisbane
Custom-made CommandeX security screens for Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane homes — measured and installed by the owners, not a sales rep.
The Honest Difference
Not every screen door sold as “security” actually is one. A genuine security door or window screen is tested to Australian Standard AS 5039 — it resists knife attacks, jemmying and repeated impact, not just insects. That’s the difference between a security screen and the flyscreens or barrier grilles many homes come with.
We supply and install CommandeX security doors and window screens across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast. Every screen is custom-made in Australia to your exact measurements, and because we’re a mobile business, the people who measure your doors and windows are the same people who install them.
Screens are available for hinged, sliding, stacking and French doors, and for fixed, sliding, casement and awning windows — plus patio enclosures.
01 / Choose Your Screen
We install three CommandeX security screen systems. All three are custom-made and AS 5039 tested — the difference is the mesh, and the right pick usually comes down to where you live and your budget.
Most Popular

Best for: most homes — everyday security with clear, uninterrupted views.
Coastal Specialist

Best for: homes within 500m of the coast — or up to 2km on an escarpment with salt air.
Budget-Friendly

Best for: genuine security on a tighter budget, or replacing an old diamond grille.
Still torn? That’s what the free measure & quote is for — we bring samples of each mesh to your door so you can see and feel the difference before deciding.

02 / Proof, Not Promises
To carry the “security” name under AS 5039, a screen has to survive independent testing — knife shear, pull, anti-jemmy and impact tests. All three CommandeX systems comply when fitted with the 3-point locking system. SecureView Eclipx and SaltWaterSeries then go further, passing extra testing for Queensland’s harshest conditions:
There’s smart engineering in the frame too: instead of screws or rivets, the mesh is held by a patented keyway wedge system with high-performance VHB chemical bonding. That keeps the stainless mesh separated from the aluminium frame — eliminating the galvanic corrosion that eats away at screw-clamped screens near the coast.
03 / Specialty Screens
The Building Code of Australia restricts windows more than 2 metres above ground level from opening past 12.5cm — unless the opening is protected by a screen that withstands 25kg of pressure at three points. Fallsafe screens are designed to meet that requirement, so upstairs bedroom windows can be opened fully for airflow while kids stay safe. Available in BasiX, Xceed, SecureView and SaltWaterSeries mesh — ask us when we measure.
If your whole home is screened, you need a planned way out. Fire & Emergency Escape security screens open quickly and keylessly from the inside while keeping full security on the outside — available in outward-swinging, inward-swinging and sliding configurations. A smart addition to at least one opening in any fully screened home.
04 / Colours & Finishes
Frames come in a wide standard colour range — including the latest Colorbond colours, anodised finishes and a Western Red Cedar wood-effect — or we can custom-match a colour of your choice. Every frame is finished with gold-accredited Interpon powder coating for a durable, fade-resistant surface.
A sample of the standard range — on-screen colours are indicative only. We bring real powder-coat samples to your measure & quote so you can hold them against your door frame in natural light.
05 / Straight Talk on Cost
Every screen is custom-made, so price depends on your actual doors and windows rather than a set menu. The main factors:
Because we measure on site, the quote you get is an exact price for your home — not an estimate that changes later.

Yes. SecureView Eclipx, SaltWaterSeries and Xceed are independently tested and comply with AS 5039 when fitted with the 3-point locking system. That testing includes the knife shear, pull, anti-jemmy and impact tests that separate genuine security screens from ordinary barrier screens.
Both are woven stainless steel security screen systems tested to Australian Standards. The main material difference is the mesh: SecureView Eclipx uses 316 marine-grade stainless steel, while Crimsafe uses 304 structural-grade. We’re happy to walk you through a side-by-side comparison at your quote so you can judge both on their merits.
SaltWaterSeries. It’s designed for homes within 500m of the coastline — or up to 2km on an escarpment where wind carries salt air — and is salt-spray tested to 3,000 hours. For coastal suburbs like Bribie Island, Redcliffe or Golden Beach, it’s the screen we usually recommend.
Typically 3–4 weeks from deposit to installation — among the fastest in the industry. After your measure & quote, CommandeX custom-makes each screen to your measurements in Australia, and we install as soon as your order arrives, on a day that suits you.
Yes — pet door options are available across the range. One honest caveat: once a pet door is installed, that screen no longer meets Australian Security Standards and is classed as a safety door instead. Many families fit the pet door to one screen and keep full security elsewhere.
