01 / What Is SecureView Eclipx?

CommandeX’s All-Rounder Security Screen

SecureView Eclipx is one of three CommandeX security screen systems we supply and install — see how it stacks up against Xceed and SaltWaterSeries on our full security screens comparison page.

The mesh is 0.8mm woven 316 marine-grade stainless steel — a step up from the 304-grade stainless steel used in many competing screens — expertly woven and tensioned into an extruded aluminium frame using CommandeX’s patented fixing system. There are no screws or rivets holding the mesh itself, and no horizontal mid-rails breaking up the view, so even large openings can be screened with one continuous piece of mesh.

Every screen is custom-made in Australia to your exact door or window measurements, tested to Australian Standard AS 5039, and available for hinged, sliding, stacking and French doors, plus fixed, sliding, casement and awning windows.

03 / Why Homeowners Choose It

Built to Be the Everyday Choice

SecureView Eclipx is our most-fitted screen because it doesn’t ask homeowners to trade off between security and how the house looks and feels day to day.

  • Clear, unobstructed views — no mid-rails and a fine 0.8mm mesh mean the screen fades into the background instead of dominating the opening.
  • Maximum strength and durability — 316 marine-grade stainless is tougher and more corrosion-resistant than the 304-grade mesh used in many competing screens.
  • Patented, mechanical-fixing-free construction — no screws or rivets to work loose or rust over time.
  • Resists corrosion, embers and flying debris — everyday protection that also holds up in bushfire-prone areas.

04 / Is SecureView Eclipx Right for You?

Best For — and When to Look at the Others

Best For

Most homes across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast — anyone who wants genuine AS 5039 security with clear views and doesn’t need the extra coastal-grade coating. It’s the all-rounder pick, and the one we recommend by default when there’s no strong reason to go either cheaper or more heavy-duty.

Consider Instead

Right on the coast — within about 500m, or up to 2km on an exposed escarpment? SaltWaterSeries uses the same 316 mesh with a heavy-duty powder coat rated to 3,000 hours of salt spray, triple Eclipx’s rating. Watching the budget but still want certified security? Xceed’s perforated aluminium mesh is the more economical option.

05 / Colours & Finishes

Made to Match Your Home

SecureView Eclipx frames are available in a wide standard colour range — including the latest Colorbond colours, anodised finishes and a Western Red Cedar wood-effect — or we can custom-match a colour of your choice. Every frame is finished with gold-accredited Interpon powder coating for a durable, fade-resistant surface.

  • Monument
  • Charcoal
  • Woodland Grey
  • Deep Ocean
  • Shale Grey
  • Surfmist
  • Paperbark
  • Pearl White

A sample of the standard range — on-screen colours are indicative only. We bring real powder-coat samples to your measure & quote so you can hold them against your door frame in natural light.

06 / What Affects the Price

What Affects the Price of SecureView Eclipx?

Every screen is custom-made, so price depends on your actual doors and windows rather than a set menu. The main factors:

  • Doors vs windows — doors cost more than window screens of the same mesh.
  • Size and opening type — sliding, hinged, stacking and French door openings each frame up differently, and larger openings use more mesh.
  • Mesh tier — Eclipx’s woven 316 stainless mesh sits above Xceed’s perforated aluminium and below SaltWaterSeries’ powder-coated coastal mesh.
  • Colour choice — standard colours are included; custom colour matching adds cost.
  • Number of screens — screening several doors and windows in one visit works out better per screen than doing them one at a time.

Because we measure on site, the quote you get is an exact price for your home — not an estimate that changes later.

07 / How It Works

Mobile Measure & Quote — We Come to You

We don’t run a showroom — we bring an Eclipx mesh sample to your door anywhere across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast, measure every opening on the spot, and give you an exact price. CommandeX then custom-makes your screens in Australia, and we install on a day that suits you — typically 3–4 weeks from deposit to installation.

Straight Answers

SecureView Eclipx FAQ

What is SecureView Eclipx made from?

SecureView Eclipx uses a 0.8mm woven 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh, tensioned into an extruded aluminium frame using CommandeX’s patented fixing system — no screws or rivets holding the mesh itself. It’s superior to the more common 304-grade stainless steel used in some competing screens.

Will SecureView Eclipx hold up on the coast, or should I look at SaltWaterSeries instead?

SecureView Eclipx is corrosion-resistant 316 stainless and passes CommandeX’s neutral salt spray test to 1,000 hours — solid protection for most homes. If you’re within about 500m of the coastline, or up to 2km on an escarpment where wind carries salt air, SaltWaterSeries adds a heavy-duty powder coating on the same 316 mesh and is salt-spray tested to 3,000 hours, so we recommend it for those locations instead.

What warranty comes with SecureView Eclipx?

SecureView Eclipx carries an 11-year standard manufacturer’s warranty, extendable to 15 years. Extended warranty terms and conditions apply — we’ll walk you through them at your free measure & quote.

Does SecureView Eclipx block the view like a flyscreen or grille?

No — SecureView Eclipx is manufactured without mid-rails, so large openings can be screened using one continuous piece of mesh instead of being broken up by horizontal bars. Combined with the fine 0.8mm mesh, it gives noticeably clearer, less obstructed views than standard fly screens or diamond grilles.

How does the mesh stay in the frame without screws or rivets?

CommandeX’s patented fixing system bonds the mesh to the aluminium frame using 3M VHB acrylic bonding, activated under precise pressure by a two-part keyway wedge. It also keeps the stainless steel mesh physically separated from the aluminium frame, which prevents the galvanic corrosion that can occur when the two metals touch directly.

Can SecureView Eclipx be used for Kids Fallsafe or Fire Escape screens?

Yes. SecureView Eclipx mesh is one of the options available for CommandeX’s Kids Fallsafe screens, which let upstairs windows open fully while meeting Building Code fall-prevention requirements, and for Fire & Emergency Escape screens, which open quickly and keylessly from the inside while keeping full security from the outside.
