Slideit Security Screens & Blinds is an owner-operated mobile business. The two people who own it are the two people who answer the phone, measure your openings and install your screens — across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast.
Who We Are
The People Who Quote Your Job Are the People Who Install It
Slideit started in 2024 and is run by its two owners — no employees, no call centre, no salespeople on commission. When you book a measure, an owner turns up. When your screens are installed, an owner does the installing. If something ever needs a follow-up, you’re talking to the same person who fitted it.
That’s a deliberately small way to run a business, and it’s the whole point. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson’s promise and an installer’s work order, because they’re the same person. And because we’re new enough to be hungry, every job matters to us — the review you leave is half our reputation.
We won’t pretend to be things we’re not: we don’t have a showroom, a factory or a fleet. We have a van, the manufacturers’ full sample kits, and a diary we control — which is exactly why we can usually get you installed in 3–4 weeks, a turnaround customers tell us beats the 6–8 week quotes they were given elsewhere.

Why No Showroom Is a Feature, Not a Gap
A showroom is rent, lighting and staff — and every dollar of it ends up inside somebody’s quote. We put that money into the product instead, and bring the showroom to you:
- Samples at your door — feel the difference between woven stainless mesh, perforated aluminium and grille in your own hands, and see fabrics and finishes in your home’s actual light.
- Measured on the spot — the person quoting is looking at your real openings, reveals and access, so the price is fixed, not an estimate that grows later.
- Honest advice at the kitchen bench — no commission structure nudging you to the dearest option. If a barrier screen or a standard flyscreen does the job, we’ll say so.
- One visit, whole home — security screens for the doors, blinds for the bedrooms, a retractable for the awkward opening: quoted together, installed together.

What We Install — and Who Actually Makes It
We’re installers, not manufacturers, and we’d rather tell you exactly where your screens come from:
- Security doors & screens — made in Australia by CommandeX, whose security range complies with AS 5039 when fitted with the 3-point locking system. Custom-made to our site measurements for every job.
- Barrier screens & flyscreens — BasiX, Diamond Grille and custom flyscreens, also through CommandeX, sold as exactly what they are: barrier protection, not certified security.
- Retractable screens — from Australian specialist Reliable Screen Supply, for French and bifold doors and older Queensland homes where nothing else fits.
- Blinds, curtains & plantation shutters — made to measure for every window, with CommandeX plantation shutters as the spec-backed premium option.

We measure every opening, put the samples in your hands, and leave you a fixed price. No pressure on the day — it’s your home and your decision.

On your go-ahead we take a deposit and place the order with the manufacturer, custom-built to the millimetre for your openings.

Installed by an Owner
Typically 3–4 weeks after deposit, we install, test every lock, slide and tilt with you, and leave the place as tidy as we found it.
